What our visa desk gets asked most about China applications.
For Singapore passport holders: SGD 175 single entry, SGD 185 double, SGD 210 for 6-month multiple, SGD 230 for 12-month multiple. Other nationalities: SGD 195, 215, 250 and 290 respectively. USA passports are a flat SGD 390 for a 10-year multiple entry, and Canada passports are SGD 255. Express and super express stamping carry additional fees on top.
Standard stamping is 5 working days once your complete documents are submitted, after 2–3 working days of embassy review. Express (3 days) adds SGD 105, and super express (2 days) adds SGD 190.
Tourist (L) is for general travel, single or double entry only. Visiting Relative (Q1, Q2, S1) is for family of Chinese citizens or foreign permanent residents, with Q1 and Q2 eligible for multiple entry. Business (M/F) covers trade, conferences, academic or cultural exchanges and similar activities.
Yes, on the Domestic Tourist S2 visa. Alongside her own documents, we'll need your passport and Singapore ID as the employer, a signed Sponsorship Form, your bank statement, and the passport or birth certificate of the child or elderly person she cares for. Flight tickets for everyone travelling are required.

Not too early. Tourist and Business visas are valid for 3 months from the date of application, not your travel date, so applying months in advance can mean the visa expires before you fly. Domestic helper passport stamping can only be submitted 1 month before travel, even if you start preparing documents earlier.
