How It Works

The Application, Step by Step

One walk-in visit is unavoidable, but everything on either side of it can be handled for you.

1

Online application

We complete your form on the official visa.gov.bd portal and upload a compliant white-background digital photo.

2

Print & sign

We print the completed form with a clear barcode. You sign by hand in blue ink — this is checked at the counter.

3

Key Information Page

We download and complete the Key Information Page from the High Commission's own portal alongside your form.

4

Document submission

Your complete package is walked in to the High Commission, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 12:30pm. No appointment needed.

5

Fee payment

Paid at the counter by NETS, NETS FlashPay or PayLah — cash is not accepted, so this is arranged in advance.

6

Collection

Standard processing is 4 working days. Passports are collected between 2:00pm and 4:30pm.

Get the small things right the first time. A blurred barcode, a black-ink signature, or a work pass QR code without a visible expiry date are all common reasons a submission gets sent back. We check every page before it goes to the counter.

FAQ

Common Questions

The questions our visa desk answers most often about Bangladesh applications from Singapore.

How long does a Bangladesh visa take from Singapore?

Standard processing is 4 working days from the day your complete application is submitted. Submission is a walk-in at the High Commission, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 12:30pm — no appointment needed. Collection is the same way, between 2:00pm and 4:30pm.

How much does a Bangladesh visa cost?

From SGD 180 per applicant for a Tourist visa, all inclusive — covering the online form, document preparation, submission and the High Commission's own processing fee. The exact amount depends on your nationality, so WhatsApp us your passport for a firm quote before you commit.

Can Work Permit and S Pass holders apply?

Yes. You provide a copy of your Pink IC, Blue IC, Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit as proof of legal status in Singapore. If your pass uses a QR code without a printed expiry date, we help you print your pass status from the SGWorkPass app with the access date visible.

Tourist visa or Business visa — which do I need?

Tourist (T) is for holiday travel or visiting family, and needs a hotel booking or a host's letter of invitation plus a return flight itinerary. Business (B) is for work-related travel, and needs a support letter from your Singapore employer plus an invitation, Trade Licence and Income Tax Payment Certificate from the host company in Bangladesh.

Do I need to go to the High Commission myself?

Yes, submission is in person and there is no appointment system. What we handle for you is everything before that visit — the online form, the photo, the Key Information Page and printing — so your visit is a single organised drop-off rather than a first attempt at the counter.

Can I pay by cash at the counter?

No. The High Commission accepts NETS, NETS FlashPay and PayLah only. We flag this in advance so you are not caught out on submission day.

What if my work pass doesn't show an expiry date?

Newer Singapore work passes use a QR code instead of a printed expiry date. In that case, print your pass status from the SGWorkPass app, making sure the access date is clearly visible at both the top and bottom of the printout, and bring that in place of a dated pass copy.
